Chiropterological seminar 2018- we celebrated 25. years of SON<\/h1>\n\n

Chiropterological Seminar 2018 was organised by the Slovak Bat Conservation Society (SON)<\/a> in cooperation with the Muránska Planina National Park<\/a>.
The objective of the seminar was to celebrate 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Slovak Bat Conservation Society (formerly Slovak Bat Conservation Group).
The event started at 26th of September at The chalet Zbojská<\/a>, situated in Muránska planina National Park in the mountain saddle Zbojská between Pohronská Polhora village and Tisovec town. More than 40 participants took part in this event. Even our project partners from MME\/Birdlife Hungary contributed actively with the presentation about bat conservation in Hungary. We had also special quest from Czech Republic- prof. Ivan Horacek.
One of the presentations from Denisa Lobbova was about all the activities implemented during the Visegrad project \"Lets be friendly to bats together\". 
The post-congress field excursion to the important hibernacula shelters of bats took place. We visited tunnel Dielik and also Rákoš village, where are situated protected old mines- important hibernaculum of Miniopterus schreibersii in Revúcka vrchovina Mts. 
We hope, all the participants spent a great time during this seminar and learned a lot about bats and their conservation. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n
